A completely different way to learn German! For false beginners and pre-intermediates

This German course is specially designed for expats living in Germany who have had considerable contact with the German language, possibly in the form of classes or lessons, but would like to improve their speaking and fluency skills. Suitable for false beginners and pre-intermediates (A2 – B2) who already understand some German but find it hard to speak. 

In this immersive one-week interactive workshop you will

• get all the individual attention you require
• learn at your own pace
• be coached to develop your pronunciation 
• practice specific situations of your everyday life
• immerse into the language from the very start.

The main focus of this course will be on communication, on speaking spontaneously and naturally, with special attention to the German pronunciation.  Authentic situations stimulate the urge to communicate in German, with the correct grammar and vocabulary provided at the right moment and reflected on later.

The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly and you can expect to have a lot of fun.

The trainer will support you individually according to your needs, and will adapt the course to both your individual and the group’s level. You will learn and progress in your oral and writing skills at your own tempo, without any pressure to keep up with anyone. 

As there is no formal grammar instruction or testing,  the difference in levels will not be a hinderance; there will be no chance of being left behind or having to wait for the others to catch up. 

The energy of the group is used to benefit and learn from one another, your own abilities and resources will be enhanced. You will learn to speak German playfully and joyfully.

Some participants may gain in fluency, others in confidence. Some may gain in accuracy, others in diversity of expression. The participants assist each other in an atmosphere of empathy and respect. 

The PDL Method (Psychodramaturgy) is a participant and group-oriented pedagogical approach for language acquisition based on scientific insights. It was conceived in 1977 by Dr. Bernard and Marie Dufeu and has been continuously developed ever since.

Speaking a language is a complex affair requiring a variety of skills and competences. In a PDL course you will not only train your German, improve your fluency and expand your linguistic repertoire, you will also develop the skills and competences that underlie language learning and together make up the so-called “talent for languages”.

Bildungurlaub, what does that mean?

This course is recognised as Bildungsurlaub (educational holiday) by the Federal States of Hesse, Rhineland-Palatinate, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Lower Saxony, Berlin, Brandenburg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein. 

If you are an employee in one of the above-mentioned federal states, your employer is normally obliged by law to give you five additional days of leave to attend this course if you request it. If you would like to know more or if this applies to you, please contact us.

The seminar will take place in Darmstadt.

Hours: 09:00 to 16:30 (with breaks)

Setting: seated circle on stools, cushions or mats, no tables.

Meals & Overnight stay: You can find plenty of bars and restaurants arount the seminar room, accomodation as well.

Die ‘Deutsche Woche PDL’ ist ein Intensivkurs in Darmstadt als Bildungsurlaub in Hessen, Berlin, Brandenburg, Rheinland Pfalz, Baden-Württemberg, Nieder-Sachsen und NRW anerkannt, weitere Bundesländer auf Anfrage. 

Der Bildungsurlaub Deutsch in Darmstadt ist für Sie als Anfänger/innen mit Vorkenntnissen und Fortgeschrittene gleichermaßen gut geeignet.

Sie werden die Möglichkeit haben, Ihre Deutschkenntnisse aufzufrischen und/oder die deutsche Sprache wieder neu zu entdecken. Freude am Sprechen und Interagieren garantiert.

Eine Woche Intensivkurs Deutsch in Darmstadt: maßgeschneiderte Kurse

Jeder Unterrichtstag der Urlaubswoche beginnt mit Entspannungs-, Stimm- und Konzentrationsübungen, um das freie Sprechen zu trainieren. Das fördert die Spontanität genauso wie das genaue Zuhören. Denn es geht um die präzise Wahrnehmung des Rhythmus und der Melodie der Sprache. Wir werden sprechen, schreiben, singen und viel lachen.

Je nach Kenntnisstand werden Sie Ihre Sprachbegabung entdecken oder ganz neu erleben! Mit der erlebnisorientierten PDL-Methode (mehr Informationen zu PDL) werden Sie in ihrem eigenen Tempo effektive Fortschritte machen.

Bei Angela Jurczik steht der Mensch im Vordergrund. Sie ist für Sie da, nicht als klassische Lehrerin, die Ihnen Wissen beibringt, sondern als Trainerin, die Ihnen folgt. Sie unterstützt Sie und bietet Sprache an, wo es nötig ist. Dadurch drücken Sie sich mit ihrer eigenen Sprache aus: Es sind Ihre Wörter. So gelingt das Erwerben der deutschen Sprache schnell und dauerhaft. Die Sprache dient der Kommunikation und dadurch Ihrem Ausdruckswunsch. Sie ist lebendig und authentisch.
